Professional Background

Arturo graduated in Law from the Autonomous University of Madrid, having completed a year at the Université Libre de Bruxelles (ULB), and obtaining in 2014 an LL.M in International Business Law at IE Law School (in a class with students from over 15 nationalities). He then began his legal career in the regulatory and competition law department at EY Abogados (Ernst & Young) in Madrid, working in a wide range of operations and projects in different sectors.

After some years at the firm, he worked in business development for the World Business Forum, an exclusive event for senior executives held annually in cities across America, Europe, and Asia.

After that experience, he was hired by Thomson Reuters to lead its tourism vertical, participating in various digital transformation projects for the legal and tax departments of leading hotel groups and other cutting-edge companies in the sector. There, he was able to firsthand observe the internal functioning of these departments and understand the main challenges they face on a daily basis.

In 2019, he started working as Global Director of Business Development and Compliance Resolution at Seven Eighths, a company that provided license compliance services to major technology manufacturers worldwide. During this time, he not only focused on client acquisition but also participated in negotiation processes and mediated in disputes between clients and the legal departments of audited companies.

In 2020 he founded ValistiQ with the aim of helping legal and tax departments to optimize their resources and do more with less.
